I am a paleobiologist in the Smiley Lab interested in the relationship between landscape change and diversification.

 

My dissertation research focuses on how mountain-building relates to species diversity and trait disparity across space and time.

 

I use the modern and fossil records of small mammals to study macroecological and macroevolutionary processes of diversification.
